MIDI File

Here you can download the MIDI File or listen online, by clicking the following file:

European-Hymn-Peter-Jedlicka (mid, 15 KB)

A MIDI File is a Musical Data Format used by Musical Keyboards ( Synthesizers ) and Soundcards. Windows Media Player will play it but you can also put it on a floppy to insert it in a musical keyboard with a floppy drive.

The sound quality depends on your soundcard or your sound-software ( on older computers it might sound like a computer-game-music ... but on modern computers with wavetable synthesis it should sound great ( Strings, Drums, Piano, Harmonica for the 1st voice, Sax for the 2nd voice ).

This MIDI File ( NOT the composition itself ) is published under a Creative Commons License.

What does that mean ?

That means that you are free to use this midi file as long as you:
  • name the composers name
  • do not change it in any way
  • do not use it commercially
It is meant for rehearsals - to have a playback tune to sing along.
